Monthly: 2nd Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M., at the Oakhurst Lutheran Church on Road 426, Oakhurst, CA.
We do not conduct meetings the months of January, July and August.
Informal monthly luncheons: 4th Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. We meet at the various restaurants that support our fundraising efforts for Children's Hospital; afterwards we shop locally, our way of honoring the generosity and continued support from local merchants who donate gift certificates and raffle prizes for Children's Hospital fundraisers.
Membership is open to men and women who are of good moral character; committed to the mission of La Sierra Guild and Children's Hospital Central; and willing to fulfill the obligations of membership (either Active or Associate).
La Sierra Guild is one of a dozen or more guilds who support Children's Hospital, Central California. The mission for all Guilds is to raise community awareness and financial support for the hospital. Children's core mission is to provide high quality, comprehensive health care to ill and injured children in the region regardless of ability to pay. Each Guild is a separate non-profit corporation with different membership requirements, annual dues, meeting times and locations.
In 1999 the La Sierra Guild was formed to provide Guild representation from the foothill communities of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We were the first guild to be comprised of both men and women. We have members from Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, Coarsegold, Mariposa, North Fork, Oakhurst, and Raymond.
