La Sierra Guild

About the guilds and us...

In 1949 five women who were compassionate toward this region's ill and injured children wanted to provide a hospital that could treat their specific needs, regardless of a family's ability to pay! The remarkable success of their quest built Children's Hospital of Central California and established a guild system to raise community awareness and financial support for the hospital.  Today there are 15 guilds and more than 1,200 members.  The La Sierra Guild formed in 1999. In 2009 our membership of men and women was 67; soaring to 100 in 2010 would be awesome! Please consider joining us. Current members are from the Sierra Nevada foothill towns of Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, Coarsegold, Mariposa, North Fork, Oakhurst, and Raymond.
