The first six months of Twenty-Ten have nearly ended.   La Sierra Guild does not hold general meetings during July and August.  Our social lunches will continue as follows:  

• July 28^th, 1:00 P.M., Miller’s Landing, Bass Lake. 
• August 25^th, 1:00 P.M., Pop’s Sportsman Café, Mariposa. 

Please RSVP with our Vice President, Berta Lindman, at least a week prior to each lunch out.

Tonight, June 30^th,  La Visionaria Guild takes over the Twist Restaurant (Palm & Nees) beginning at 5:30 P.M.  There may still be time to make a reservation by calling Dallas at 559-579-8195.  Tickets are $35.00 per person and include one drink ticket.

Today, those with email received notification from Berta regarding La Sierra Guild’s upcoming fundraiser, our first restaurant take over:

When:         Sunday, August 29th

                       $20 per person

                       5:30 P.M. - No Host Cocktails

                       6:30- 8:00 P.M. - Dinner

Where:       Sweetwater Steakhouse

                       Oakhurst, CA 93644 

Menu:           Choice of:

                        Salmon, Rice and Vegetables

                        Chicken Cordon Bleu, Rice and Vegetables

                        6 0z. Prime Rib, Garlic Mashed Potato and Vegetable

Don’t forget to solicit the support of the community.  The banquet room accommodates 75 guests.

Today, those with email received notification from Judy Hanson, Chairman--Fall Raffle, that ticket sales are in “full swing”.   All La Sierra Guild members, active/associate, are encouraged to take part in our fall raffle fundraiser.  Please make arrangements to pick-up tickets, and return ticket stubs, with any of the FABULOUS 3 fall raffle contacts:

Thousands of tickets are printed and available.  Let’s make the 2010 La Sierra Guild, Fall Raffle, an enormous fundraising success for Children’s Hospital!

At our last general meeting, June 9^th, we had a couple of treats:

• Thank you Lynn Russell and Wanda Chatelle for the awesome refreshments; you tantalized our taste buds and quenched the thirsty lot of us.
• Carol Besselievre brought darling guests, her grand daughters:  Savannah and Abigail
• In attendance were 21 active members, 1 associate member, and the two guests mentioned.
• The Pink Pig raised $23.00
